Lexibook master 2 Forgotten startup diagram

My daughter forgot the startup code she set up on her Lexibook master 2 MFC157FR tablet. Lexibook tells me that the only solution is to send it back to them and charges €29 for this, which is about 1/3 of the price of the tablet. Excerpt from their response: "Once a tablet is locked by a password, a complete reset is necessary, which restores the tablet to its original configuration.
This procedure is done in our workshop, hence the need to send the product back to us and the associated cost for this operation, which includes restoring to original configuration and the shipping fees back to you."
Has anyone found a way to unlock it without going through Lexibook?

Hallelujah! I managed to reconfigure it. For those who have encountered the same problems as I did, here is the procedure that will save you from lining the pockets of those thieves at Lexibook.

Thanks to the person who posted this information online. It was about a different brand of tablet, but it worked with the Lexibook Master 2.

Tablet off:
Press and hold the +, - and off buttons simultaneously until the Lexibook logo appears.

Bring up the menu by pressing the - button.

You will then see these options:

reboot system now
apply update from external device
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

Select wipe data/factory reset by navigating through the menu with the + and - buttons and confirming by pressing the off button briefly.

In the next menu, you have the choice between:

multiple "no"
yes -- delete all user data
Select this second option.

You should see this after a few seconds:

- wiping data...
Formating /data...
Formating /cache..
Data wipe complete.

and see the menu reappear.

Then select Reboot system now.

And there you go! Your tablet is as good as new, restored to factory settings.

Cerostart, when you say +, - and off => is the off the power button?
Because I tried pressing and holding the 3 buttons simultaneously and nothing happens unless you need to hold them for more than 30 seconds. Can you help me with the procedure to access wipe data/factory?

Yes, the off button is indeed the power button. If I remember correctly, I pressed the power button and the volume down button at the same time.
After a few seconds (5 or 10), the Lexibook logo appears (for a very short time), so you need to be quick and press the volume down button as soon as you see the logo. Good luck!

When I press - and hold it until the logo
1) if I continue to hold it, the tablet turns off
2) if I release them and press - again (held)
then the tablet starts completely and I access a secure mode but I can't continue because I still don't have the password. Unless there is a universal password in secure mode.

A force of manipulation :
=> Hold the power and - for 2-3 seconds => Release => Wait for the Lexibook logo to appear => Immediately press - (if it's not right away, the tablet will turn off again) => There appeared the Android figure lying down with its belly open but I don't know how to go further.

I'm sorry for you, but you have to do a hard reset.

Hello. What is it about? I tried the reset button on the back but nothing happens. At the same time, I'm far from being a pro...
