Hello and best wishes to everyone,

I have been given a Lexibook tablet master 2.
The child set a password to enter the tablet but has forgotten it....
I want to reset the tablet, but I can't find any tutorial!

By connecting it, I have access to the data, which I have backed up.
How can I remove this password at startup?

Thank you for your help

for the tablets LEXIBOOK MASTER 2 MFC157FR

Power button + Vol- button for 3 seconds.
when the logo appears: power button + Vol+ button
the logo disappears--->release the power button.
the little android character appears.
to bring up the menu: power button and Vol+ button.
navigation in the menu: Vol+ and -, validation with power.

Tested on lexibook 143DPFR:
Reset Android:
1/ Turn off
2/ Press 3 buttons for a few seconds: Power (= button nr1), Menu (= button nr2), and vol+
3/ At the android logo, press Vol+
4/ navigate with vol-/vol+, confirm by power
5/ Select wipe data/factory reset
6/ Select wipe cache partition
7/ Select reboot system
8/ The reboot takes longer than usual +/-3min
9/ The device is back to its out-of-the-box status
NB: procedure valid for many Android devices

It is possible that button nr 2 in step 2/ may not be necessary (but that's not a problem).

Hi and thanks for your quick response!!!!

I tested the reset and even a boot with the Vol+ and power buttons together.
Neither of them works, or maybe I’m just doing it wrong...

Any ideas?

Very complicated, however, I managed to use the volume down and power buttons a few times, but it doesn't work every time. When you succeed, the Android logo appears with a red triangle in its belly, and you are supposed to press the power button once, but nothing happens. So, I went to the Lexibook website, and they say that the only way is to return it to the company with a fee.

Me too, it's not possible, and mine is the Lexibook® HD Ultra 2 tablet.

Hello

here:
http://www.mylexibooktablet.com/en/support/faq/general-tablet
I found this:
- My child has forgotten the access pattern they drew. What should I do?
- Your tablet needs to be sent to the technical center, and the intervention is subject to a quote. Please contact us via the contact form on the site to know the procedure to follow.

Maybe try a "reset" anyway:
Reset: press with a sharp object in the hole located on the top (or side) while the charger is plugged in.

Good evening, to reset the tablet, you just need to look at the back and use a needle or a toothpick to press into the small hole provided. However, this will erase application installations, and I don't think it will unlock the issue you have. I'm having the same trouble myself, and I don't know how to fix it.

The solution found but not very refined:
Press and hold Power and Vol- at startup for 3 seconds.
Release, wait for the Lexibook display, then immediately press Vol- again (or Vol+, that's where I'm not sure about the process).
The green Android figure appears lying down with its belly open.
You must then hold Vol+ to make the menu appear.
Vol+/- are used to move up and down, and Power to confirm.
You need to select Wipe Data
then scroll down to Erase All User Data.
The tablet will ask Reboot now => choose Yes.
The tablet then starts up just like when it was first unboxed.
Have a good day and good luck getting to the green guy.

My bad, I did a factory reset. Turn off the tablet. Press the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Select wipe data with the volume buttons and confirm with the power button. The tablet is like new out of the box. You just need to recreate a profile and download what you need.

Even factory reset, the password is not reset!!! After contacting Lexibook's customer service, you have to send the tablet back and pay!!! Outrageous!!!

Hello,
We have the same problem (forgot password). When we press and hold the Power and volume buttons, we get some kind of big man/robot with an open belly and a red triangular sign with a "!" in it. But nothing is written, so there is no option to select "wipe data" as recommended. What should we do?
Thank you!

Alex 10 and Guillll: Thank you very much for your solutions. My daughter couldn't find her password for her Lexibook Advance 2 tablet and I had to send it back and pay. So, I followed your instructions with the volume up and Power buttons and the rest of your description. It worked great!!! Thanks again! However, it must be acknowledged that navigating the menu is difficult and you have to press the power button only once, wait for a second page to appear, and then confirm YES in the middle of the drop-down menu on the second page. So no factory reset!!!
