Hello,
I am having major issues starting certain applications (Photoshop, Battle.net, League of Legends, Adobe...). When I launch them, Windows displays this error message:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d). Click OK to close the application"
At first, I thought it was only for Photoshop. But when I saw that it was happening with almost all my software, I got worried.
I have Windows XP SP3 with an AMD Athlon 2800+ 2GHz, an NVIDIA 6800GS graphics card, and 1.5GB of RAM.
Has anyone else experienced this bug? Thank you in advance.

According to this forum and what I thought when I saw your message, it is due to the end of software and accounting development on Windows XP.
Your operating system is therefore too old and needs an upgrade to Windows 7.

That's the problem :/
I would have told you to format and reinstall Windows XP properly, or maybe switch to Linux, with a distribution like Lubuntu (which is great for your setup), and emulate them via PlayOnLinux :/
Anyway, I'll let you do what you want, but what I said above seems to be the best solution (for me), but very time-consuming to implement
Hoping I helped you
