Convert .PSB to .XCF GIMP: how to preserve layers?

Hello,
Thank you for your website for making ImageMagick available for Windows. ImageMagick was able to open a Photoshop .PSB file generated by AUTOPANO GIGA and save it as a .XCF format, but it was unable to retain the layers and their masks. In GIMP, I get a single layer (flattened image) instead of the 9 expected with their masks.

I did: File - Save As, and although it wasn't in the list of extensions, I entered .xcf
Is there a step I missed?
Thank you!

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 35.0

    Hello,

This software (Imagemagick) does open PSD or XCF files but automatically flattens the images, so the layers will not be recoverable after passing through this tool...
If you want to convert from PSD (not PSB, large Photoshop file) to XCF and work on XCF, GIMP does it perfectly: it opens PSD files and once the work is done, you export it as XCF.......... or vice versa...

      Thank you Luke1
That's what I noticed. So I'm removing ImageMagick and I'm still looking for a solution to convert a .PSB provided by AUTOPANO GIGA into .XCF with layers to free myself from Photoshop CC, which is too expensive in the medium term.
The ideal would be for GIMP to handle .PSB files, but I haven't found any hope in GIMP's future developments. Best regards.

    Good evening,

    Try this address: https://convertir-une-image.com/ ...

There you go, I found something that worked for converting a PSB to PSD, so you can convert a PSB to PSD there, and since GIMP accepts PSD, I can export it as an XCF in that format:

    - Go to the site.
    - Choose the PSD format.
    - Upload the PSB.
    - Download and save the PSD and open it with GIMP.
    - Export as XCF.

I just tried it and I have a brand new XCF starting from a PSB.... ;)
