Ubuntu still present in the BIOS after uninstallation.

Hello,
I had installed Ubuntu alongside Windows 8.1.
In the end, I decided to uninstall it because I was only using it very rarely. Following a GParted tutorial to remove the partitions (3: swap, home, and /) I managed to do so without any problems.

However, what I don't understand is that in my BIOS, there is still the Ubuntu boot option... And the same thing happens when I press F12 at startup; it still offers Ubuntu.
It's not really a big deal since the computer starts up in Windows anyway.

Is this normal? Or did I skip a step during the uninstallation?

Thank you in advance for your insights ;)

.... A small cloud will become a big one ...

Hello,
it's not the BIOS, it's the boot partition or MBR that still contains it. You just need to use a software to recreate your default MBR and only your Win8 will boot without a hitch.

Sure, can you tell me which software to use to recreate the MBR?
