HELLO,
I have a problem with Word. I'm trying to draw a small diagram and I would like to use connectors between my shapes so that I can move them without having to reposition all the lines later.
I have found the connectors, but I don't know how to attach them to my shapes.
Do I need to use particular shapes? If so, which ones? I can't find them.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
Connectors can only be used in drawing areas.
So:
- either you enable the drawing area by default: Tools menu, options, General and check the option "Automatically create drawing areas when inserting AutoShapes"
- or you use it on a case-by-case basis: Insert, Picture, New Drawing.
Here I quickly explain the advantages of the drawing area:

Hi,
You have this in Word's help. If it can help you.
In the Drawing toolbar, click on Drawing, then click on Re-route Connectors.
Tip
If multiple connection lines are associated with an object and you don't want to reroute them all, select the ones you want to reroute, then click on Re-route Connectors.
To move a connector
Perform one or both of the following actions:
To move the connection line, drag one of its ends and connect it to another site or object.
To prevent the end from automatically locking, hold down the ALT key while dragging the end. You can place the end anywhere on the object, but it will not be connected.
To detach the entire line, drag its middle.
Note: If the connection line has a yellow adjustment handle, dragging the handle changes the shape of the connection line but does not detach it.

Thank you,
when I right-click on my connector, I see "Redirect Connectors," but it is grayed out and I don't have access to it.
The help also says that when you hover over it, blue circles indicate connection points, but in my case, nothing happens.
Why?
Is it a Word option that might not be installed?
Thank you in advance for your help.
