Hello everyone,

I've been receiving this message for a while when I open my Gmail box:
This version of the Safari browser is no longer compatible. Please install a compatible browser.

I'm on Mac OSx version 10.6.8. Safari Version 5.1.10. The updates are fine.

What does this message mean since I still have access to my emails?
Should I download another version of Safari? Which one?

Need guidance, thank you.

    Hello,

    You need to update your Mac to Yosemite or Mavericks in order to install the latest update of Safari, which is version 7.

      I don't know Yosemite or Maverick.
      How do I go about updating under one of the two versions?

      Do you think my Mac has the capacity to receive it?

      It all depends on the Mac you have, is it a MacBook Pro/Air or an iMac? What year is your computer from approximately?

      To install one of the two updates (Yosemite recommended), simply go to the Apple Store and download it for free.

      I have a hard time remembering, but it must be 5 years old ;)

      You can therefore start a Yosemite update (which is the latest from Apple) via the "Apple Store" app.
