Hello

Problem with the C5280 All-in-One printer that stopped during printing

The carriage got stuck on the right.

I disassembled the right side and noticed that a plastic part of the mechanism had come off its axis. I put it back in place. The carriage now moves normally but "the printer screen indicates 'install 2 cartridges'". They are properly in place and despite several removals and reinserting the cartridges, the message persists and the device is unusable.

I assume there is a reset procedure for the device, but I don't know how to do it.

Who could provide me with information?

Thank you for your help

    Thank you Phènix 64,

    I followed the steps,
and indeed I reached an initialization procedure that I followed.
BUT at one point the printer prompts to do an alignment page and at that moment a message appears on the printer "raise the cover and remove the cartridge adhesive" (of course there is no adhesive on the cartridges)
and on the computer, the HP Solution Center tells me "the cartridge holder is blocked" even though the carriage moves perfectly.

I am still at the same point!

I went and did all the procedures on the HP site.
No results. The screen now says "remove the adhesive from the cartridge"!!!
        It's frustrating.
I'm considering buying another printer but not an HP.
HP support (manzeliano) suggested another procedure that didn't yield any results.
        It's annoying.
