Hi,

Of course: https://www.malekal.com/scam-419-police-de-linternet/

In France, when you are the victim of this type of offense, the police show up to conduct a search...
You don't receive a letter or an email.

Like the angel you are, you laugh creating a lightness in my chest,
Your eyes they penetrate me,
(Your answer's always 'maybe')
That's when I got up and left.

"I sent an email to the author saying that their email was forwarded to the gendarmerie."

What is that going to scare them!!!!!

I received this email today in my inbox as well. I will write the same response, mentioning as a bonus that someone in my family is in the police force.

Hello

Obviously a scam, do you really believe that in France we send an email to a presumed pedophile to warn them??? No!!!

Then just reread the emails to realize that the people who do this have a disastrous level of French, so it's not credible... and thank goodness, that's how we spot them...

And one last thing, the sender's email, honestly that's just the last straw ^^

"I've received the latest email:
"Have you just received a summons from the police or gendarmerie mentioning a 'case concerning you'? Here are some

information and advice to read before going there.

The letter you received (in person or in your mailbox) is a summons to the police station or gendarmerie for

your hearing by a police officer or gendarme.

The reason for the meeting is not stated on the summons. It simply indicates the day and time you need to go to the

police station or gendarmerie. However, you can always call the place you have been summoned to in order to try to change

the day or time of the summons in case you are unavailable.

This hearing is part of an investigation. A police officer or gendarme will thus interrogate you in connection with a case. However, be aware that you may not necessarily be questioned about facts for which you would be personally implicated. There is

no need to panic if you have nothing to blame yourself for. You may, for example, be summoned as a witness to facts you

might have witnessed or to provide information about someone in your circle. On the other hand, if you are implicated, this

summons can sometimes lead to a police custody procedure decided against you at the time of your hearing. Whether or not

you are implicated, your statements will in any case be transcribed in writing in an official hearing report.""

Hello again....

It's just intimidation..... A copy/paste of what can happen when someone doesn't respond to a real summons....

Re-read, re-read the first email you sent, it's full of mistakes, absurdities, nonsense.....

Print it out and go have it read at the police station... it will distract them (if they have the time...)

See you later!

I would add that some messaging services have a dedicated service to deal with this type of abuse; very often, you need to forward the email to abuse@..., for example, abuse@Outlook.com

It might not do much, but you never know, and it costs nothing.

Why not...

As it seems to be about Gmail:

Hi

Obviously a scam....

A very, very classic one....

This likely follows a "nude performance in front of a webcam" .... for the greatest satisfaction of a scammer....

However, I haven't set foot on these sites, but I am not the only one using my computer.

This could of course be another user... but also a person who mentioned your email address (either intentionally or not) during an exchange with some "divine creature" (actually... a scammer).

Good evening,

So we might be dealing with an "optimistic" scammer(s) who sends these emails "at random" thinking.... "I'll surely find someone who feels guilty enough to pay".....

That seems quite "far-fetched" to me... but well.....

See you later!

Hello. Do you have anything to blame yourself for? For me, these are warnings (true or false?). Best regards

No, I have nothing to blame myself for. I, too, think of a warning.
0
Xileh > silencecapousse Posted messages 33 Status Member

This is in no way a "warning"..... It is clearly an email attempting to extort money....
0
silencecapousse Posted messages 33 Status Member

So, I can ignore it, nothing will be done or published?
0
Xileh > silencecapousse Posted messages 33 Status Member

What do you want them to publish since you say you've never visited any related sites? (you have never "exhibited" yourself in front of a webcam....)

And if it's another user of your PC who is affected, they just need to follow the advice we've given in the thread....

Hello!
Don't panic.
This is indeed a scam, so be careful, do not engage in this harassment game.
What proves that it is a scam is:
As mentioned: in the case of an offense, in France, you do not receive an email from the French jurisdiction!
Moreover, like any institution, the email address is not "hotmail.fr"! For example: for public hospitals in Paris it is ***@***
For Marseille: ***@***
And not Gmail.com or Hotmail.fr!!!
The same goes for the police, gendarmerie, etc.
Next: it refers to a threat where the photos would be placed on the desk of the UEMOA...
Do you know what UEMOA is?
It’s the West African Economic and Monetary Union!!!!!
Nothing to do with it!!!!!
Then it tells you that in order to avoid receiving a police mandate, you need to pay a certain fine...
Since when in France do we buy our crimes following an infraction of the penal code!
The French system is organized securely to know that in the case of an infraction of the penal code, any infraction is subject to a penalty established by a JUDGE of the high court!! Not by the police or the gendarmerie!!!

Furthermore, the articles cited as having been violated, I invite you to consult them on the legifrance.fr website...

Hoping to have provided you with enough answers so as not to make the mistake of sending money to Africa, as there are scams everywhere!
Like on Le Bon Coin, for the purchase of a car that you will never receive, so don't be duped, don't be gullible or naive!

Sincerely, a French woman who wants to help her compatriots! ;D

Where they are strong is that the address of the police station in Paris is genuine, so we could easily believe it even if we have nothing to reproach ourselves for.

Hello

I still don't think it's an achievement to find the address of police services in France!.....
Anyway, they're just trying to put in two or three authentic things and sometimes copy/paste legal texts "in their own way"....

All of it in a jargon... steeped in incongruity and nonsense....

See you later!

Hello everyone, and thank you for answering my questions. They also sent me several emails, but they never mentioned my name in the emails, that's why I found it strange, especially since I don't live in France.. lolll

Thanks again.

Every summons must have a date, time, location, dates of the events, and it should definitely not be sent by email, and certainly not a fine of 1500.... you also have a deadline of 10 days between the summons and your summons... This is a scam... stay strong.
