Magnetic tab disassembled from HP PSC 1210

Hello,

I am looking to put back this magnetic or plastic strip, but I don't know where it goes; it is as long as my printer.
Since this strip broke, the printer doesn’t work anymore, and the carriage makes loud banging noises.
If someone could kindly show me, perhaps with photos, how to replace this band, it would be a great help.
And it would fix the mess my young son caused.
Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Mozilla 11.0

    Hello
I don't see what it's about, can you post a picture?

Here are 3 photos, one showing its full length (which matches the length of my photocopier), it's not easy to see because it is a bit transparent, light gray, and the other 2 photos show the ends where there is a small hole to connect some parts; one of them is broken, it must be my son who pulled on it.

I thank you for the interest you have shown in my call for help and for any assistance you can provide me.

    Thank you, see you soon.

Hello, your message is exactly one year old, but I would like to know if you have resolved your issue. I have the exact same problem and I can't find a solution. It's the same tab that came off, my printer is a CANON MG 4250 and it directly displays an error message on startup: error 5100. It also makes a loud banging noise when I turn it on, it's the cartridge block that goes directly to the right and makes a huge noise. If you have managed to repair your printer or if someone has a solution for mine, I would be grateful!! A thousand thanks.

Well, I still don't see where this could lead
if it's a photocopier, there might be a way to contact a service center or look for the model's repair guide online (details of spare parts)
    sorry, I don’t know!
