houhouuu I found it :D :D :D

for the note display issues, you need to go here:

https://artists.guitar-pro.com/fr/#Q3

where you can find a small link to download the Guitar Pro 5 font.
Then you take this file and paste it in this path: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

and there you go, the notes are colored!! :D

Hi, I just encountered the problem. I click on the site you suggested, but it does not provide a download link in the FAQ.
Thank you.

Hello,
Take the font (Guitar Pro 5) from the installation directory of gp5 (\Guitar Pro 5\fonts) and paste it into the directory C:\Windows\Fonts, restart the gp5 application and it will be fine.
Best regards.

Hello everyone,

I found the solution: I was in the same situation as you, and after searching for a long time, I realized that this problem is due to the absence of the following file: guitare pro 5.ttf (responsible for the font).
Download it here: http://www.fontineed.com/font/Guitar_Pro_5

After downloading it, place the file in:
Workstation -> HP PAVILION (C:) -> WINDOWS -> Fonts.
I know, some might wonder why not store the file somewhere in the guitare pro 5 folder directly, but this "Fonts" folder (located as indicated above) contains a large number of fonts from several software present on your computer: it's the right place, believe me.
After dragging it into "Fonts", launch Guitar Pro 5, open one of your tabs and enjoy the change ;)

I hope I was clear enough and that these instructions will work for you ^^

You download the file from the link provided above, you decompress it and you copy/paste the file Guitar Pro 5.ttf into your folder c:/windows/fonts (if c: is the drive letter of your Windows installation folder).

Hello,

I have a somewhat similar problem, I put GP5 on a USB stick, and of course the Font folder doesn’t come along since it’s on the hard drive.

If anyone finds a way to reassign the Font folder, then thank you for helping me.

Is there a way to change the installation directory of the font? Let me explain: I just installed Guitar Pro on a PC at my university, but the problem is that it's impossible to access/modify any content in /windows. I have the font, but I can't associate it with GP without going through /windows/font.
Anyone can help me?

I also have a little problem with gp5; I created a track, and when I play it, it only plays one measure and takes about fifteen seconds to move to the next one. It's probably something very silly, but I've read the entire manual, and I can't find a solution.
Can anyone please help me?

I don't know if that's your case, but when a measure is not complete (e.g., you write 3 beats in a 4/4 time signature), the program will get stuck at the end of the measure before continuing.

So check which beat you should be composing on, and make sure that each measure is complete before proceeding.

Otherwise, I don't know what it's about.

For those who transferred Guitar Pro 5 from one PC to another and the tab numbers do not appear, I know the solution.
On Windows, you indeed take all the Guitar Pro folders, but Windows forgets to transfer the font that must be attached, which causes the problem. To fix it, you need to copy the file from the source PC (location >>> My Computer > C: > WINDOWS > Fonts > and the file you are looking for is here, it is named "Guitar Pro 5.ttf" (you can find it more easily with "Run" by pasting this command C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\Guitar Pro 5.ttf) then when you have copied it, make sure to put it back in the same location on the second PC.

Thank you for your solution with the link, it works now for me too on my local hard drive, and I even pushed it a bit further with an external Lacie hard drive, and I don't know why but it works too. I tested it on my Vista laptop where gp5 isn't installed and I managed to start it up easily ^^

/enjoy

Hi!

Tell me, is the link given above the right one? I can't see any option to download anything other than the RSE [Realistic Sound Engine] audio engine from Guitar Pro 5...

Any advice? Because in the meantime, I can't see my scores... :s

Thank you.
