Hello everyone,

I want to share my problem with you.

I used to live with my parents, my little brother had a PS4 and I had bought Watch Dogs.
So I had several hours of gameplay, a save file, and a PSN account, but because of a poor connection, I didn't play online.

I moved out and bought my own PS4, and I created a different PSN account because I couldn't remember the password for the fake email address I had created just for the PSN. I formatted my USB stick to FAT32 and copied the Watch Dogs save file from my little brother's PS4 to the USB stick via:

-Settings > Saved Application Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Storage Device.

Then I went back to my PS4 and tried to paste the data via:

-Settings > Saved Application Data Management > Saved Data on USB Storage Device > Copy to System Storage > No saved data. -_-

However, when I plug my USB stick into a PC, the save file is indeed there. I can't go through the PSN to perform this operation due to having 2 different accounts. So my only solution is through the USB stick, and apparently, I’m not the only one experiencing this issue, but I haven’t seen any solutions start to appear.

If anyone has a response, I thank you in advance! I’m sorry for sharing my life story as well, but I thought it was important to detail everything.
Have a good day and thank you for reading!

Hello.
! You can only restore a game backup once the game itself is installed on your console!

There are 3 ways to do this:
  • Either online:
  • Or wired (Ethernet network):
  • Or via a USB drive:
    • On the source PS4: Settings > System > Backup / Restore > Backup
    • On the destination PS4: Settings > System > Backup / Restore > Restore
