PDF printing issues on Mac Book

Hello, I still can't print the documents I receive in PDF, either directly or through Preview. However, it seems to me that it should be possible. Thank you in advance. Cataut.

We are not clairvoyants, so stating which Mac, which version of Mac OS X, and which specific model of printer is more than necessary to attempt to address your issue. Similarly, mentioning whether you are able to print other documents would be a plus.

The PDF file must have been saved with print and modification restrictions.

I just thought of something I've never tried but maybe it could work. It's to open your PDF with "Preview" and reprint it as a PDF. Then you take your newly created PDF file and try to print it with your printer. Maybe the print restrictions will be gone by doing it this way.

I tried reprinting a PDF to PDF and it worked, only the original PDF didn't have print restrictions.

Ritchi, my computer is a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.9.4.
Of course, I can print documents other than PDFs. What surprises me even more is that these PDFs are usually documents that need to be printed in order to be sent by mail.

y3x, I think I've tried everything: opening in Preview, saving to the desktop... in all cases the sheet appearing in the print menu is always blank.
Same precision, these documents are intended to be printed.
I wonder if it’s not a blockage on my computer, a bad setting somewhere.

Hello,

this document prints without any issues on my end.

Please check that you haven't installed any Adobe plug-ins that could be messing up the PDFs.

The check:

- close all your web browsers; (Safari, Firefox, etc...)

- go to this folder:

Hard Drive / Library / Internet Plug-ins ...

if these modules, (or any of them), are present, they need to be deleted and the trash emptied:

- AdobePDFViewer.plugin
- AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

Also check what extensions are installed in Safari under Safari / Preferences / Extensions ... (similar for other browsers...)
