New Lenovo computer fan noise

Hello,

I very recently bought a Lenovo I5 laptop last week, the fan is constantly making noise, is that normal? Could it already be dust?

    Hello.

    The dust not yet.
    However, if you block the air intake that allows the fan to cool the processor, it won't cool down, so the fan runs at full speed, logically.

    So test it by placing the PC on a desk and clearing the underside of the PC, and then listen to the noise.

    No, nothing is blocking it; I made sure to place it in a way that keeps it clear underneath as well. Still, the fan is running constantly!
    Brrr, a new device already heading to customer service :/(

    Thank you for your response, however, the fan is on the side, right? And nothing is blocking its entrance. I'm surprised because I don't have this problem with my older Asus placed in the same spot!

    Ok, so you confirm that nothing is blocking the air intake?

    If that's the case, and if you really think the noise is not "normal," then > customer service.
