Salut
I updated the BIOS on my HP Compaq 6830s laptop because I thought it would improve the PC's performance
But on the next startup, the PC had a black screen with the CAPS Lock light blinking several times.
I no longer have access to either the BIOS or Windows
Do you have a solution to fix this issue I caused and to get the PC back?

Hello,
apparently there is a method to reinstall the BIOS.
https://www.vulgarisation-informatique.com/flashage-bios-rate.php
or here
http://www.pcworld.fr/carte-mere/tests,le-bios-flashage-et-procedures-de-recuperation,127541,1.htm
But be careful with the manipulations.

I may have found out what your BIOS is; tell me the number of beeps at startup? How many, short, long?...

According to a response from the HP forum,
"The correct answer, it seems, is to retrieve the HP flashing file (by decompressing the executable under Windows). It is named in the form for example BEN5.43 or 535.rom. You rename it to HPBIOS.ROM and burn it alone onto a CD-ROM. When the PC is powered on, you insert the CD and after it starts, you try the combination of keys Ctrl Home. The flash occurs and success beeps depending on the motherboard may be heard."
You need to go to the HP website and retrieve the BIOS corresponding to your PC model.

Apparently, your BIOS is of the "F" type: F11 and F20 for the latest version.

I think you have all the elements to get by. Good luck.

Actually, I don't have any beeps when the PC starts. I only have the Caps Lock indicator blinking twice and that's it.

I have already downloaded "HP System BIOS ROMPaq for HP Notebooks - FreeDOS Bootable Support"
and I created a USB key, but I don't know what to do next.
