Hello,
I will be starting a DUT GEA (Management of Enterprises and Administrations) in September, and I am currently searching for a laptop that I will need for classes. However, when it comes to portable and comfortable PCs, it's hard to overlook the MacBook Air from Apple.
It is true that, in terms of price, it would be quite an investment for me, but that's a concern that only affects me ^^.
However, there is one more thing to consider. Indeed, will the tasks I will need to perform and the software I will need to use in the DUT GEA be fully compatible with macOS?
I would appreciate your insights, especially if any of you have experience using a MacBook in this type of program.
Thank you in advance :)

Good evening,
what type of software will you be using? -
Hi unknown_programmer!
Well, that's exactly the problem; I have no idea.
It will be software related to management. There will definitely be Excel (which is compatible with Mac, so I'm not worried about that). As for the rest, I've done some research but haven't found anything concrete. -
Hi,
I was indeed thinking of this kind of software.
However, when it comes to choosing between PC or Mac, I have no idea at all. -
I also don't know. It's true that in terms of mobility/comfort of use, I find the MacBook Air superior.
That's why I would like to hear the opinions of people who have completed this DUT with a MacBook. -
Re,
I have very little experience using Apple computers, but in terms of comfort, PCs and Macs are on par, right? -
Hello,
try to contact students who already have some experience in the establishment you will be joining, or from a college/university in the field to get opinions. If necessary, postpone the purchase until the start of the school year... after a few days of contact with alumni, you will know... :)
Best regards

Thank you for your responses!
Francis: Yes, in the worst case, I can talk to the students at the start of the school year. But I would have liked to be certain before the start of the school year while I have some time ^^
electro: Oh great, thanks! I will check, see if it's compatible with Mac :)
