Hello :)
I would like to connect a DVD player via HDMI to my MacBook Air (13" mid-2012) but when I connect it, nothing happens :/ how can I find the location of the player on the Mac?

Good evening, HDMI is not designed to transmit data, but only image and sound. As a result, you won't be able to see your DVD player on your Mac or PC. Also, keep in mind that the HDMI port on your Mac/PC is an output; it is meant to send the image to a display, not to receive an image.

So if I bought an external DVD player to connect via USB, would it work?
