keyboard PIH not working... Solved

Question

Hello,   The PC has the following OS specifications: Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, and the following hardware specifications: manufacturer: eMachines - Model: EL1332 The PC in question no longer recognized the mouse with a PS/2 connector, so I replaced it with a USB mouse, and it works very well! Now the keyboard, also in PS/2, no longer works either, so I also bought a Microsoft Wired 200 keyboard with a USB port, but I cannot get this new keyboard to work. I tested this new Wired 200 keyboard on another computer (a laptop), and it works, so I rule out the possibility of a defective keyboard. I uninstalled/reinstalled, but to no avail, so here is the screenshot I managed to take on the computer where the keyboard does not work...   Thank you for your help...  Best regards,

re  on the web, apart from downloading a Windows 7 ISO, you won't find anything (I'm talking about a recovery partition)  @+  -- the radiation level is higher at the unemployment office than at Chernobyl

Hello. Try in the Control Panel, with Troubleshooting and > Set up a device <  -- Who loves instruction! finds knowledge that comes from reflection! PS. Frequently create a restore point! it solves quite a few problems.

Thank you, but having already tried and retried this (http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9740816) - it's the same... The PIH keyboard device is still indicated with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle (indicating an anomaly) and in the properties of this device, the message remains the same: "The driver or service required by this device has been disabled. Another driver may provide the same functionality. (Code 32)"  Thank you for your support.

Did you follow the procedure?  Don't you see a number like this >> HID\VID_03F0&PID_A407&REV_0321&MI_00  @+  -- The radiation level is higher at the employment agency than at Chernobyl.

It's hard to follow the procedure when the keyboard isn't working... However, I see something that looks like what you sent me, but in "Device instance path"  and it's HID\VID_045E&PID_07B9\6&7C5E9C1&0&0000  :) Is that okay...?

re  I couldn't find drivers for your keyboard  If you right-click on the problematic driver in the device manager and choose "update driver," what happens?  If the driver doesn't update, download this to your desktop click here  Download 7zip to unzip it  the link https://www.7-zip.org/ (go for the x64)  Right-click on the "zipped" file and choose 7zip>extract to...    Run it as administrator (right-click)  Once that's done, check if the keyboard works  @+  The radiation level is higher at the unemployment office than at Chernobyl.

To run sfc /scannow via the command prompt, you need to run the command prompt as an administrator (right-click)  Then, type your command and hit "enter"  You can also run a check disk via the command prompt  Type chkdsk /f /r  Note that there is 1 space between chkdsk and /f and /r  For sfc /scannow, let me know if it repaired something  P.S.: I'm leaving (I'll check the result tonight)  Thanks  See you  -- The radiation level is higher at the job center than at Chernobyl.

I understand all of this... but it's impossible to type because the keyboard isn't working... and even the "enter" key doesn't work... so with the mouse, a second computer, a text file, and a USB stick, I can write in the Command Prompt, but I can't execute it on the computer in question because the "enter" key isn't working... Hi  in the device manager, uninstall the driver for your keyboard  unplug the keyboard and restart the PC  when the PC has restarted, plug your keyboard back in  let me know how it turns out  thanks  @+  -- the radiation level is higher at the job center than at Chernobyl

re  WARNING: do you have nothing to save? (personal documents etc...)  you should have the choice in the recovery partition  1) restore to factory settings  2) restore the operating system and back up user data  see you  the radiation level is higher at the employment agency than at Chernobyl

re  super  if you pass by here again, since you no longer have the backup DVDs, you can burn them  via the recovery partition  take DVD-Rs (you'll need 3)  +  -- the radiation level is higher at the unemployment office than at Chernobyl
