Hello,

I bought a network tester and several LEDs are present. I understand "Connected"! "No Connection" as well!

But I have the "cross" lights that sometimes turn on or the "short" ones

In the manual, it states:

short: lights up in case of a short circuit in a conductor.

cross: lights up in case of transposed conductors

But I don't understand what that means

    cross: the wires are reversed, they don’t connect to the same place on each end.
    this is indeed the case in a crossover cable and it’s intentional in this case, but it can also be a positioning error.

    Good evening,

    For "short," a short circuit in a conductor is when two wires touch each other when they are not supposed to (for example, a pinched cable whose wires have been stripped inside and are touching).
    For "cross," it is probably the indicator that shows the connection is of a crossed type, at least I think.
