Can you play games on a mobile phone without a SIM card?

Question

Hello, I am going to give my son my SAMSUNG GALAXY Y with the SD card. However, I am not getting him a subscription, so no SIM card. It's for listening to music and taking photos. Can I, however, install games? If so, how do I do it?  Thank you in advance.

Hello, I don't see any restrictions in using the phone's wifi. He will need to create a Google account so that he can access Google Play.

Hello,  First of all, if it's just for music, photos, and games, it would be better to buy him an iPod touch. Otherwise, all you need is to be on Wi-Fi at home and create a free Google Play account that will allow him to download games on his phone.
