Word is asking me for the product key.

Hello.
I have a problem with Word. I can't open a document with this software without it asking me to enter my product key, since I changed my internal hard drive.
I did a bit of research and learned that the product key is simply found on a label attached to the PC.
So I entered my product key, but it shows me an error message saying "sorry, this is not a valid Microsoft Office 2010 product key. You may be entering a product key from a different version of Office"

Does this have anything to do with the fact that I changed my internal hard drive?
Thank you for reading.

Hi

This is the key for Windows.
For Word, it's a trial version and then you have to buy it.

See you later

Thank you for the reply.
I also read that I could uninstall Word and install OpenOffice instead, which is free.
I don't want to pay just to be able to open text documents.

Yes, OpenOffice is free and you just need to ...

To open and do basic things, it's sufficient.

Thanks for the link :)
In the end, I'm going to open the documents with WordPad; it doesn't complicate things for me.
