Hello,

I just bought a PARKARD BELL notebook with Windows Vista Premium.
There was no CD inside, but an Office Home and Student 2007 package was already installed.
The problem is when I open a Word or Excel document, it asks me for the activation key (25 characters).
But I have nothing.
I went back to see the vendor and he told me to enter the 25 characters located under my laptop.
But it says incorrect key.
A friend told me to create my restoration CD on DVD (which I just did) and that the key should be in it afterward.
But I don't know where???
Can you help me because I’m lost....

Thank you

I had the same problem, the activation key located behind my computer does not work.
I called Microsoft who told me that I only had the trial version, and that I now needed to PURCHASE the full version, Great.........

The activation key is a 25-digit code found on a sticker under your laptop (it says Microsoft on it).
But a surprise can, like it happened to me, arise. Indeed, if you enter this 25-character key and it tells you it's not valid, it means you do not have the Office pack but just Vista. So after buying your PC without taking the time to ask the question "Is this PC just a furniture prop?", well, you have to pay an additional €100. This technique has a name: it's called hard selling. The price of the license is not included in the price of the PC, so a good brand PC becomes competitive compared to those from low-cost brands, and you buy without suspecting that a PC can be sold without Office, and there you are facing an additional €100. I'll let you judge the sales methods.
