Sfc /scannow command on another PC's drive

scannow -

Hello, I have a startup issue with a tower (win7 pro x64), it won't boot even in safe mode as it freezes on the startup screen or on a .sys file.

I mounted it internally on another tower, but I'm not sure if I'm testing this disk (ssd) correctly.

Does the command h:\sfc /scannow check the h:\ drive or the c:\ drive?

Thanks.

    Hi,

you can forget this method, the only solution is to put the hard drive back in place and boot from an installation CD or a CD with the recovery console.
