There isn't really a difference except that we use the term "copy" when we want to move a file, either on the computer or from a computer to a USB stick, but we use the term "download" when it comes to importing a file from the internet, like a video or a software... #aLittleLost O.o

    Hello,

Downloading is associated with the concept of distance; you go to retrieve a file from a server, often via the internet.

Copying is more of a local action; you copy a file from directory A to directory B.

But in some cases, the boundary can be blurry ;-)

Thank you. You have just drawn my attention to the word "distance" which is found in the word "download". It is of course the word "tele" which means at a distance.
