What are Cisco modules?

Hello,

The question is in the subject line.

I see from Ccleaner that I have these 3 modules installed on the PC:

""Cisco: EAP-FAST module / LEAP Module / PEAP Module"".

I can't find anything on Google to inform me about what these programs are and what their purpose is.

Perhaps there is an answer here.

Thank you

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 29.0

    Hello,

These are authentication protocols from CISCO (obsolete for most):

Lightweight Extensible Authentication Protocol (LEAP) is a protocol developed by CISCO, which is suitable for WEP Wi-Fi encryption (similar to MS-CHAPv2).

Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP) is a TLS protocol with PKI certified authentication.

EAP-Flexible Authentication to Secure Tunneling (EAP-FAST) is a "new version of EAP" using Protected Access Credential (PAC) in three phases.

You can remove them if you don't need them, but personally, I wouldn't advise you to do so.

    Best regards
