My Blackberry Z10 was off and I've tried to turn it on several times but nothing happens, the LED flashes red (1 time then 6 times) if that helps. I've already tried some methods seen in other topics but nothing works. PLEASE HELP ME URGENT :'(

Reinstall the operating system, it will erase everything and you will reinstall it, there won't be any more problems
    !

    Otherwise, check out: http://smartphonie.blog-ppa.fr/

hello, I have the same problem but I can't reinstall with BBLinks, as the phone is completely out. I think it can't connect with BB Links. The software asks me to turn off the phone to reinstall, but it's actually off except for the red LED, which I can't make go away.... can you help me?? thanks!

I had the same problem with my Blackberry Z10, and what I did was remove the battery and connect the cable to my phone (without the battery, I should emphasize). It flashed red for a little while. Just when it was about to turn on to display the BLACKBERRY logo, I placed the battery back in at the same time (timing is crucial). The phone immediately started charging the data as usual and eventually turned on... ;) Good luck!

      Hello,
I bought the Q10 less than a year ago and boom, the same problem occurs.
How did you manage to turn it back on?
      How long did you wait?
Ouch... how can I recover the phone number content from the phone? + messages?

    Hello.

    Reinstalling your Z10:

    Know the version of the Z10 STL100-1, STL100-2, STL100-3 or STL100-4

Download an autoloader corresponding to your version of the Z10:

    STL100-1
    http://downloads.blackberry.com/upr/developers/downloads/Autoload-STL100-1-10.1.0.1845.exe

    STL100-2
    http://downloads.blackberry.com/upr/developers/downloads/Autoload-STL100-2-10.1.0.1845.exe

    STL100-3
    http://downloads.blackberry.com/upr/developers/downloads/Autoload-STL100-3-10.1.0.1845.exe

    STL100-4
    http://downloads.blackberry.com/upr/developers/downloads/Autoload-STL100-4-10.1.0.1845.exe

    Quick tutorial:

Install Blackberry Link to have the drivers.
    Close BB Link
    Run the (exe) file.
Connect your Z10 via USB to the PC.
    Let the OS load.
    Automatic restart of the Z10.
    Unplug.

    Good luck!

      Hi

Is your Z10 recognized by BlackBerry Link?
Connect it to the PC with and without the battery to see.

Hello, your solution is for a 9900 and dates back to 2012, our problem concerns the Z10 which is fully touchscreen...

Yes, I forgot that it was touch-sensitive, sorry.
I know that this solution was possible on a Q10 (same symptoms).

Have you tried removing the battery and putting it back?

When you connect it to a PC, does anything happen?
Does it connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software?
With this software (not the Blackberry Desktop Manager provided in the link which is for OS 9), you can try this.

If yes, try updating the firmware.

BBY always has the same "troubleshooting" solutions, that's why it's important to try what exists on previous models when possible.

Hello Crapoulou, thanks for your reply.

I've removed and replaced the battery dozens of times... even left it out for a whole night.
And the same thing always happens: red LED, BB logo, charging starts and stops before reaching 100%, and it keeps repeating in a loop...

If I connect my Z10 to my PC, nothing happens since it never actually starts up.
BlackBerry Desktop Software doesn't work with BB's OS10, so I'm using BB Link but to no avail since it doesn't detect my Z10 which won't start.

I changed phones and sent the Z10 for repair...

I indeed think that's the right solution!

If you have any more information from the repair service, feel free to share it with us!

        Have a good evening.

Même problème après 48 heures de charge, les voyants sont verts. Ne peut redémarrer qu'en enlevant la batterie et le logiciel de lancement s'arrête à 23% et mon BB s'éteint. Please help me.

Just the same for me, have you found a solution for imakhan 7? I'm going in circles, BB Link can't contact the device for reinstallation, it asks me to turn it off but it's not on, there's just the LED blinking and I can't turn it off!! Plus, when I put the battery in, it heats up quickly.... thank you!

I have the same problem, and reinstalling is not possible because BB Link is asking me to turn off the phone... Except that the buttons don't seem to be working anymore.

Hello, I have the same problem as you and unfortunately I have come to terms with the idea of having to change my phone. Is there a way to recover data from it anyway (such as music or important notes)?
