Hello,

I cannot open the htm files that I receive as attachments in my email.
I changed the file association to open them with Google Chrome, but that doesn't work either.
Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 34.0.1847.116

Have you tried with other explorers? If not, give it a try!

    Another option:

    - send it to me so that I can modify it and you can open it! (I understand the HTML code)

I tried with other browsers but none of them open these files.
I can't send it to you, but it happens every day. I often receive htm files that I can't open.

You just have to modify the file by right-clicking, renaming it and adding an "l" to "htm" which should give you "html".

The "rename" function does not appear on the right-click.
I did not mention that my email is ZIMBRA (Free's email) and that the problem, in my opinion, comes from there.
I will ask the "freenautes" forum which may give me the solution; otherwise, I will change my email provider.

    Hello

Question: Why do you receive files in htm?
Do you know what they contain?
Who receives htm files here? Not me, and never!!!
If it doesn't open as htm, then it’s not htm

In fact, I mostly receive them in Word, and when I want to display or download them, they turn into HTML files...

    hello

It sometimes happens that messaging services change the file extensions, I don't know why.
To ensure receiving the documents in a readable format, they should be converted to PDF or zipped.

      Zipping it damages your file.
