Hello,
I have my old Packard Bell laptop (worth €600 four years ago) with a broken hard drive that I would like to restore to give to my brother. I had to buy a more powerful PC for myself.
Before I scratched the hard drive (one week ago), I invested in a new battery and a new Wi-Fi card (worth €100), so I would appreciate being able to use them. ;)
I would like to know how I can proceed to make this laptop work without its original hard drive, maybe with an external hard drive?
Thank you for reading,
Adriwespin
Configuration: Windows 8 / Firefox 28.0

TheWestern Digital Scorpio 120 GB
is probably compatible, but to know if it has the right interface, you would need the model number, which looks like this: WD1200BEVS, but be careful, every letter counts.
The number I mentioned is correct for the "Serial ATA" interface.
If you type its number into Google, you will find the answer in the technical specifications.
However, your Medion MD 90200 surprises me because for them, it's an external USB3 hard drive from ALDI... But not a PC..??
