Hello,
I often encounter a problem that Excel's help has never solved regarding charts, which forces me to use Regressi.
It is simply about choosing both a range of values for the y-axis and for the x-axis. Indeed, I currently cannot select my range of values for the x-axis, and I end up with the scale 1,2,3,4,5,6...
Explanation with my example:
In a game, the loading speed of goods at a port depends on the level of the port.
If I want the speed based on the level, there’s no problem; I just need to select the column containing the range of speed values, and it plots a chart with a linear scale on the x-axis corresponding to the building level (1,2,3,4,5...).
But let’s imagine I want to plot the evolution of speed based on resources spent (to increase the port level and thus speed)?
This means I need to consider two data ranges, speed and resources, to plot one against the other...
How can I do this?
- Excel 2013.
- Chart in the form of a line or histogram.
Thank you in advance!

Good evening,
The nature of the graph doesn't change anything; I still can't find where to specify the abscissa I want.
Thank you anyway,
Have a good evening.

But yes, with the point cloud type, you have an x-axis with a real scale, and you can choose the data range corresponding to that x-axis

Good evening,
Here is the link to the document: https://www.cjoint.com/?DDyxML3V1eM
The table lists the various evolving characteristics of the building.
What I'm interested in is tracing the evolution of speed (this information is contained in the "Speed (mar/min)" column) in relation to the number of resources spent at each level (not cumulative) (this information is contained in the "Total" column).
Also, I would like to know how to indicate the names of the axes (write next to it, actually).
Thank you for your help!

Select D1:D49;F1:F49
(click on D1; hold down the [Shift] key while clicking on D49; release everything; hold down the [Ctrl] key while clicking on F1; release everything; hold down the [Shift] key while clicking on F49; release everything)
Go to Insert/Chart/Scatter
In
You need to select the [Axis Title] button displayed by Excel and go to the formula bar to write the sign
