Error message on Open Office Mac

Every time I open Open Office, an error message appears: "On its previous opening, OpenOffice exited unexpectedly while reopening windows. Would you like to try to reopen its windows again? If you choose not to reopen the windows, you may have to open and position the windows yourself." I have the choice between "Do not reopen" and "Restart." I click on "Do not reopen," but the message remains. (The menu is behind the message.) I click on text, I can save, etc. But when I exit the document, the error message remains displayed. I have to force quit Open Office for the message to disappear. What should I do, please?

Why hack MS-Office when there is a free solution available?
    Use OpenOffice

And coming back to say if the problem is resolved is surely too much to ask.

I must be useless because I can't find the folder under Yosemite... And I have this problem.

      Hello,
I tested the indicated solution but the folders: Saved Application State
or org.openoffice.script.savedState are not in my library... :(
Could they be elsewhere? I copied/pasted the file names into the Finder search bar without success...
