Hello,
I successfully connected 2 laptops to the Wi-Fi without any problem, but suddenly I can't connect a third one (since they are identical and have the same connection software, I imported the settings but nothing works!)
I'm wondering if my Orange livebox is correctly going into pairing mode and how to check that. I couldn't find any "indicator" for pairing mode in the manual.
If anyone can help me, thanks (I don't want to delete the connection on one of the PCs that connects via Wi-Fi for testing!!!)

The button, association, is to the left of the power socket under the Livebox. It's on the left when you put the Ethernet ports on the right. It's a cylindrical black button that sticks out.
The LED with the Wi-Fi symbol blinks when you are pairing, but you may have a compatibility issue between the Livebox and your computer's Wi-Fi. I have friends who encountered this problem with certain dongles that were rejected by the Livebox!
Second topic: What to do when the LED does not blink when pressing the pairing button? Quick tip: 1) connect your computer via Ethernet 2) access your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 3) go to the "wireless network" tab (title for Sagem Livebox) 4) and disable "MAC list editing" and save the change 5) conclusion: the computer will no longer need to pair with the Livebox, thus bypassing the issue
WARNING: if the WEP key is disabled, there is no access protection, so don't be surprised by a significant drop in speed!!!!

Salut

Good evening,
I can't seem to associate my Orange Livebox with a Wi-Fi key. When I click on the connections in the taskbar, it does find the network I want to connect to, but at no point does it ask me for the network key and, consequently, it says it's impossible to connect. However, when I installed my Wi-Fi USB key, it did ask me for it and it found the network among the available networks, but I have the impression that it's the computer that doesn't want to connect to the network, so I'm thinking that maybe I need to open a port or a wireless connection.
In fact, this PC was previously connected to the internet via an internet cable and now I've moved it to the living room with a USB Wi-Fi key.
So, can you do something for me???

Hello, to connect your PC directly via Wi-Fi without using a Wi-Fi key. If you're with Orange, first connect via Ethernet and type "http://192.168.1.1" in your browser; this will take you directly to the admin mode of the Livebox.
Admin username; Password: admin.
Then go to the "Wi-Fi connection" tab.
On your PC, go to the Wi-Fi configuration.
Put your box in pairing mode. It will ask you for the Wi-Fi key.
While still connected via Ethernet, the Wi-Fi detection will occur.
Once the connection is made, you're done..
Don't complain now, you've got to tinker with the connections, and everything happens almost automatically; you just need to find the right tab.
There you go.

I have acquired a computer without built-in Wi-Fi.
I am with Orange and I have a Livebox.
To connect to the internet wirelessly, as my phone jack is not near the computer, I am using a Netgear WG111v3 Wi-Fi adapter.
The adapter detects the Livebox just fine, no problem.
I bought a Lexmark X4550 printer, with built-in Wi-Fi.
When I install it, it detects the Livebox well, but when I enter the security key for it, the printer cannot find the network.
So for now I'm using the USB cable, but I would like this to be temporary because "little hands" tend to wander over it.
However, when the Wi-Fi adapter connects to the Livebox at startup, it detects the Livebox but also the printer, even if it is no longer connected with the USB cable (I tested it).
I have read a lot of Q&A about these Wi-Fi connection problems, and many mention the "association mode" of the Livebox.
Is this necessary for my problem?
Is there anything else that needs to be done?
I don't speak computer language, and I am really lost.
Can someone give me advice?
Thank you in advance

I had connection issues with my laptop and the Livebox on Windows 7.
I connected directly with a cable, established a connection, then opened the network sharing center. I set up a new connection to a wireless network. I entered the WEP key when prompted, and the connection was established immediately to the wireless network. I unplugged my cable and remained connected without any issues to the wireless network.
I hope this information helps!

Will pressing the association mode button solve my Wi-Fi connection problem for the printer?
And can I just press the button like that, or do I need to reinstall the live box afterwards as indicated in its manual?
Thank you.

To connect an iPhone or a second Mac to the Sagem Livebox, when the device (Mac or iPhone) asks for the WEP key or password, it is not the WAP password that should be entered, but the 26 digits and letters of the Wi-Fi security key that can be found on the label of the Livebox as well as on the back of the installation guide.
Hi everyone, I simply succeeded by entering the Wi-Fi address of the iPhone (you can find it in Settings then Information) into the new MAC address in the settings of the Livebox.. and apply..
Then after pressing the association button on the Livebox, it allows the connection and that's it!!!
