Hello,
I have recovered an old amplifier (Yamaha DSP ax630se) that I have connected to my Samsung UE40F6400 television via a SCART connection (no HDMI input or output on my too old amplifier). For now, no problem, my 3 speakers work with the TV channels, but when I try to play a movie (via USB) or use the PS3 (which is connected via HDMI to the television), there is no sound. Should I buy a new amplifier with HDMI outputs? Or is there a solution?
I would be happy to hear all your suggestions! Thank you

    Good evening,

According to a YAMAHA notice, the DSP-AX630SE and RVX-630RDS are the same models.

The solution is therefore quite simple; simply connect a digital optical cable between the TV and the amplifier. This amplifier has 3 digital optical inputs and one digital coaxial input. Just connect the cable to (for example) " OPTICAL D-TV/CBL (input no. 4 in the illustration) " and to the optical output of the TV, set up both devices and the sound from all devices connected to the TV will go through the amplifier.

Best regards and have a good weekend ;-)
