Hello,
Recently, I uninstalled Samsung Kies and had a little surprise after the uninstallation—every time I restart, file explorer windows leading to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 open up about 2 minutes and 30 seconds after the session starts (the number of windows that pop up varies between 1, 2, and 3).
After uninstalling Samsung Kies, a window requesting administrative rights opened for MAsetupcleaner.exe to run as admin. I initially refused, since the publisher was unknown, and I haven't seen it since.
So I did some research (for over a week) to understand what this program actually was: a Kies utility.
I then reinstalled Kies to properly uninstall it again in order to retrieve the MAsetupcleaner.exe so I could allow it, and that's what I did. Nothing happened, but the windows continue to open at startup.
I followed a few steps that were recommended to me:
- Repair registry errors with Ccleaner (unsuccessful)
- Go into msconfig from run to find and uncheck all related programs in the two categories (found nothing ---> unsuccessful)
- Go to Start -> Right-click Computer -> Manage -> Services and Applications -> Services -> remove from startup anything related to Samsung Kies (--> unsuccessful)
I searched the registry and found a few keys related to masetupcleaner.exe and deleted them. That's something...
I restarted my PC while filming the running processes to see which one was responsible, and here's what happens in 3 stages:
-Processes at startup, before the windows open:

winlogon.exe (nothing)
taskmgr.exe Windows Task Manager
taskhost.exe Host Process for Windows Tasks

When I close the windows, no processes close. So in summary, the processes pdfsty.exe *32, ZuneLauncher.exe, and AutorunDelayLoader.exe *32 executed, knowing that only the first and the last of the three closed by themselves...
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.
No success so far...
Does anyone have a solution to make this malfunction disappear? The problem itself is not serious or of great importance, but it is very annoying!
Thank you in advance for your help!
EDIT: I uninstalled the Zune software and PDF Complete Edition corresponding to the process pdfsty.exe *32 and cleaned the registry (with CCleaner). After restarting, I had 4 windows instead of the usual 3...
After disabling everything from G Data in msconfig and restarting, no windows open anymore... The problem seems to come from G Data, even though I can't leave it disabled at startup, it's an antivirus...

A big thank you, Samsunger.
I had exactly the same problem as you for a few days: my computer consistently opens on sysWoW64 in 2 identical pages.
Like you, it was indeed my G-DATA antivirus that was the cause, with its "autostartmanager" function, allowing the delay of application launches at startup.
So I went, following your example, to "computer ->[TXXXX(C:)->G Data->TotalProtection]," to put DelayLoader in the recycle bin.
At startup, everything opened normally, and there was no more sysWoW64 page.
But if I restore DelayLoader, the problem reappears, again with my computer opening on the duplicate "sysWoW64" page.
I will contact GDATA for a resolution, which I hope will be definitive. I will keep you updated on this forum.
Previously, I had aimlessly searched for many hours on the internet for a solution. The most plausible one (ineffective in my case) was a remnant of uninstallation of a software in the registry of my computer.
Thanks again for the clarity of your explanatory approach.

I went to ask for help from GDATA. Here’s how the problem was finally solved:
- In "autostart manager" (GDATA application to delay the startup of applications when the computer is opened), move everything from "immediate launch" to "delayed launch."
- Check that after restarting the computer, the problem is resolved (no more unexpected opening of "SysW0W64).
- Return to the initial situation (what was just moved to "delayed launch" goes back to "immediate launch").
- Upon the new restart of the computer, notice that the problem does not return.

thank you Delphin... I’ve been dragging this thing for months!
best regards!
Just a brief clarification on this identical problem I had after installing a sound card driver.
It was exactly the same files in the same locations.
If you go to the properties of these files, you'll notice they are blocked because they come from another computer.
You need to unblock them, but the persistent success of this operation depends on the level of security you have on the system.
If you exit the properties after unblocking the file and go back in, the "unblock" option may have returned.
In that case, go to properties/security and assign yourself rights on the settings of this file.
