Meta acts against connected glasses trafficking

Meta
Meta disables the camera function of its Ray-Ban smart glasses if the recording light is masked or not functioning, in order to protect the privacy of individuals who may be filmed without their knowledge. However, the traffic of these glasses represents less than 0.1% of sales, about 700,000 pairs. Meta thus faces an endless cat-and-mouse game, trying to stay one step ahead of potentially ill-intentioned users. What do you think of this measure by Meta to protect privacy? Is it sufficient or should other measures be considered?
