Good evening,

I’m writing to you because I have a little issue with my iPhone 5.

So, when I want to use Siri with the speaker, it doesn’t detect my voice or anything. The same goes for all voice messages.
But! Yes, otherwise it would be too easy :D
So when I use the headphones or hold the phone to my ear for Siri, it works just fine.
I have no microphone issues, as everything works well for calls, whether it's standard, FaceTime, Skype, or anything else.

I have tried in vain to deactivate/reactivate Siri.

Is there a way to fix the problem without restoring?

On an iPhone 6, I experienced the same problem. I thought Siri's microphone was faulty, but all it takes is to blow on it for a long time (using a can of compressed air) – the microphone on the speaker on the front of the phone as well as the one right next to the headphone jack. Since then, it works perfectly! Hopefully, this will be useful to you.

Personally, I turned off my iPhone 6s and it started working again afterwards...

Thank you @loulou72 I was lost for a while. The phone was working, the voice recorder was working, the speaker was working but dictation and Siri were not working.
A big, big blow at the level of the microphone speaker (next to the front camera) and op, it works again.

I have the same problem, all the apps that use the microphone work, only Siri is deaf :(

I forgot to mark it as resolved.

According to Apple, I was the first to have this issue, and they were tearing their hair out over it.
Eventually, I got fed up and given my heavy case with them, they made an exceptional gesture.
So they offered me a replacement of my iPhone 5 for an iPhone 5S in box version.

Absolutely impossible!
I have exactly the same problem and one thing is certain, Apple will never provide a brand new and "upgraded" phone for that.
This answer is ridiculous.
Either there was some extra money added at the end, or the issue was resolved in another way.

I just did it.
I tried afterwards with Voice Control disabled, it works, but Siri still doesn't detect my voice.

Hello, I want to clarify: Siri only works if you have internet available on the iPhone. It is also important to know that the iPhone has multiple microphones; Siri does not use the microphone when you hold the iPhone to your ear, it uses the ambient microphone (it may be broken). To find out, do a test by recording a voice memo. Second test: in General Settings, activate the Ear to Ear option, then simply hold the unlocked iPhone to your ear; this should trigger Siri and you can speak as if you were on a call.

Hi; actually, when I try Siri, I have internet but it doesn't hear me; however, voice control works and even the voice memo works except for Siri, and when I talk to someone and activate the speaker, my correspondent can't hear me either, and I want to point out that I have the iPhone 5, and the back microphone works as well in video, so I don't understand where the bug comes from. I've even restored it 10 times in one day in DFU mode and without DFU mode.

Re Simaou, I want to clarify one thing, the iPhone 5 has 3 microphones, here is an image that allows you to locate them.

Depending on the app used (Siri, video call, memo), one or the other of the microphones is used.
One thing that surprises me in your writing is that you mention voice control; it should be noted that if voice control is activated, it means Siri is disabled, you cannot have both at the same time.
