Acer Aspire 7750G Graphics Card Driver

Good evening everyone!
I had big problems with my graphics card on my computer. To be more precise, I have an Acer Aspire 7750G with an AMD Radeon HD 6650M graphics card.

I had major issues when I was online, as if my screen was broken (cracks). I restored the system and searched for drivers for my graphics card (which was at 8.22).
Noticing the same problem that some others have, I looked for available drivers via maconfig.com (and yes, first I checked via amd.com but according to them, my hardware was not compatible and therefore, I couldn't update my card) anyway! I installed the latest version of the driver! Now I have a flickering screen (horizontal black lines).

(I checked if it was a dust problem, but no).
What can I do??

Thank you in advance. Best regards.

Install the previous version of the AMD driver:

1. Click on https://www.acer.com/ac/fr/FR/content/drivers
2. Or select your product from the list
3. Group: Laptop
4. Series: Aspire
5. Products: Aspire 7750G
6. Click on All, not on New !!!
7. Select the Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
8. Select VGA - AMD - VGA driver - 8.861.0.0 - 294.5MB - 2011/07/21
9. Click on Download
10. Unzip VGA _AMD_8.861.0.0_W7x64_A.zip and install (you know the drill !!!).

Hello,

You must go and get the drivers from the manufacturer because your card is an AMD Radeon HD 6650M

What is your operating system?

Here is the procedure to follow until the choice of the operating system...

1. Click on https://www.acer.com/ac/fr/FR/content/drivers
2. Or select your product from the list
3. Group: Laptop
4. Series: Aspire
5. Products: Aspire 7750G
All drivers will then be made available to you, after you have chosen the appropriate operating system (be careful)

Regards

Hello CCMclaude, and thank you for your attention.
I am on Windows 7 64-bit.

I did as you suggested. I downloaded the AMD VGA driver file for Windows 7 64-bit. After decompressing the file and launching the setup program, it opened and downloaded the AMD Catalyst Control Manager version. So far, no issues. At the end of the download, the screen colors changed, turning to a very dark greenish hue (I couldn't take a conclusive screenshot; I viewed the image on another screen, and it displayed the desktop as if there were no problems). After restarting, I still have the same issue, so I reverted to the original driver (so no issues regarding the display), but I can no longer launch video games or watch videos because the card is not up to date.

I noticed that the hardware is not up to date when looking at the AMD Catalyst Control Center (it doesn't find any solutions), but the software driver is up to date. Is there some misunderstanding?

Best regards, nicolasnn
