Plug 9.5V charger into Numark device?

Hello,
I’d like to know if it is risky to plug in a 9.5V 400mA AC charger (50Hz) into a Numark DM950 mixer 9V AC (whose amperage I don’t know)? Indeed I don’t have the original charger and I found an old 9.5V AC one, and I’d like to avoid spending 20€ on a new one!

    Hi,

    Yes, it’s risky! Manufacturers even go as far as saying that you must use the charger specially designed for the product in question, even for equivalent voltages, currents, and frequencies.

    If you use 9.5V on a product that should only receive 9V, even if the difference is minimal, in the medium term (4 to 6 months) you risk permanently damaging the battery or the power board.

    If your blender is worth 20€ or less, then don’t worry about it, use that charger. On the other hand, if it’s worth more, or much more, think carefully about what you’re doing!

    Indeed this blender isn’t worth much, picked up from the bulky waste, after a capacitor replacement it’s back to life!
    Otherwise isn’t it dangerous that the amperage is different? On another forum I thought I understood that you shouldn’t go below 500mA for this kind of appliance...

    Then if the nozzle isn't the same, it smells like a complete hack! A small jolt and the table comes unplugged...
    Up to you, but I strongly advise against doing that.
