unable to send emails on Outlook.com Solved

Question

Good evening everyone,

I can no longer write emails even though I can enter the recipient's address, the subject & send! (I tried sending one to myself, blank of course!)
I can no longer "continue writing" my emails that are in "draft," (by the way, once opened, there's nothing left on the page!).
I can no longer "reply" or "forward" the emails I've received.
...etc...
Basically, I can no longer do anything!
Just before, I was sorting, organizing, deleting, copying/pasting... emails & doing it like a speed machine because these are not tasks I enjoy & suddenly, I could not anymore!
This has happened to me before, that's why I'm convinced it comes from the fact that I was going too fast in my actions (I often have hotmail open & plenty of other YouTube windows, for example, where I enjoy doing various manipulations) but because of that, it was glitching, signaling me in the top left "Mozilla Firefox is not responding" so I was told to click "restart" & it worked perfectly again, to the point that a few minutes later I had "everything" as I had left it before.
But this time, I didn't get a "Mozilla Firefox" alert, it just froze right away but I still clicked "restart," then "shut down" altogether, even several times, to no avail.
I didn't find any explanations in your forum that could help me, often because the similar problems encountered are outdated and/or don’t quite correspond to mine.
Moreover, you use terms that are mostly foreign to me as I am more than a novice in computing.
I am asking someone to help me & also who can relate to my poor level.

Hello, Restoring your system to a date when it was functioning correctly may be the solution since you are unsure what the manipulation error is... See Here  (Thank you Chantal11).   Abel ;-)

Thanks to Chantal & you, Abel, I was so happy with myself!!! I did everything just as it was indicated! & at the end, I got: The system restore has not been completed. The files and system settings of the computer have not been changed. Details: The system restore could not access a file; the incident is likely due to an antivirus program on the computer.Temporarily disable your antivirus program & restart the system restore, an undetermined error occurred during the restore.Try restoring the system from another restore point if the error persists, consider using an advanced recovery method. If I understood correctly, I need to uninstall the antivirus to restart the restore. Well, I know how to "uninstall" but I'll need to check the forum for "reinstall" which shouldn't be too complicated so far. But I don't understand the very last sentence: "try using an advanced recovery method." Before I do anything, could you explain this sentence to me in context with beginner's terms, please? Thank you.  P.S.: I read the comments from forum users who followed the system restore instructions, CAN WE LOSE EVERYTHING?! But as you said Abel, since I don't know what the manipulation error is, I have no choice?

No, don’t uninstall the antivirus! It says "temporarily disable"! That said, I don’t see why to disable the antivirus... are you infected? :( It would be wise, it seems to me, to post in the "virus security" forum.  --->"Try restoring the system from a different restore point" Select another restore date...  Moreover, do not confuse: ---> Restoring to an earlier date (which means you choose to go back to a time when the computer was functioning normally); and, System restore to factory settings where you indeed need to back up your files to an external drive. In this latter case, everything done after commissioning the machine is overwritten...  ---> It is obvious that if you have installed tools very recently, going back will mean they will no longer be there... Well, I've restarted from another restore point (since I only had 2!) but I'm still getting the same conclusion that mentions "Temporarily disable the antivirus program" even though no Abel, I'm pretty sure there's no issue with my antivirus!
In any case, thank you all for your help.
I called a computer technician from my area who is coming tomorrow to set everything back in place & since he's a good guy, he said he would show me the procedure to do, which will help me familiarise myself for any future interventions when I'm on my own.
The little I've done is timid because I'm always afraid of making things worse...
But I've already made a step forward with Chantal's technique via Abel, which was a very good technique to properly recover Outlook, I was told.
As for Bocdan, someone gave him -1 but I've been told that it was another possible & safe solution.
So I'm going to try to give him back the point.
All these "they" I’m talking about manifested 8 to 10 hours after my first help request texts this morning!

Hello Pinetta 73,

Indeed, it seems that you need to seek help elsewhere.

At no point did I doubt the effectiveness of your antivirus... but please know that none of them provide 100% protection against malware (a bit like disease and vaccines)
The best antivirus is found between the chair and the keyboard, meaning you. ;)

Personally, I believe that your antivirus might be blocking the restore point because your restore points could be infected...
In that case, it is doing its "job" :)
