how to reset a tablet? Solved/Closed

I bought a Tablet 7 Touch, model CT 700, at Carrefour for my daughter, but she forgot her password. After consulting websites to find a solution, I would like help resetting her tablet. Thank you for your valuable assistance!

Uh... I have one, and there is a very tiny little button "Reset" (to be pressed with a toothpick or another sharp-pointed object) next to the micro USB connection.

According to a forum about my tablet model, I need to turn it on by pressing the power button and the volume down button. Then, the screen displays a green cartoon character lying down, with its belly open, and there’s a red triangle "caution" sign on top for several minutes. By pressing various buttons, I can’t access a menu for any changes.

I did some research on your tablet and I see the model; it's not easy for a sub-brand to find combinations :/

So you'll do what I tell you:

- Charge your tablet to a maximum of 75%

- Turn it off completely

- Restart it in recovery mode, which means: Press the home button + volume up button simultaneously

- Wait a few seconds; a menu should appear with a green Android man.

turn off your tablet for ten seconds

restart with the power button + volume up held down at the same time for the system recovery menu

navigate through the menu with volume + or - and the power button to confirm

if you manage to do this, choose format system

back up your photos or anything else to USB first because everything will be erased

Here are the instructions to reset the CT700 to factory settings:
Create a bootable micro SD card from a computer.
To create the bootable micro SD card from your PC, you need the file:

- A blank micro SD card (with a card reader on your computer)

Here are the details to create the bootable SD card:

1. Unzip the downloaded file

2. Launch the application PhoenixCard.exe

3. You should have the following screen
4. Select the drive letter. (It is recommended to insert a removable drive during the creation)

5.Click on the img file button and select the file sun5i_android_a13-n01_2013918-fr.img

6. Choose "Product"

7. Click on the Burn button to start creating the key (all data on the memory card will be erased).

8. Formatting the key starts

9. Done

II. Apply the update on the CT700 tablet

1. Insert the micro SD card into the CT700 tablet
2. Turn on the tablet
3. As soon as the tablet starts, the process will begin.
