Hello,
For the past few days, I haven't been able to connect to the freewifi hotspots. When I enter my credentials, it says "Connection successful," but when I try to load a webpage, it redirects me to the freewifi site and asks me to log in again, and so on...
It's really very annoying. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, I would be grateful! :)
Edit: It doesn't work on my iPod either.

A priori, it's a cache problem DNS, you need to clear it after connecting to freewifi with your credentials:

It works for me.-
Superb, it worked immediately by clearing the cache DNS, and the script is a very handy addition.

Hello,
I'm following up on this issue because I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. When I connect to a FreeWifi hotspot, I normally reach the access portal, enter my ID and password, get the "connection successful" page, and then... I find myself back at the access portal, and I can start over ad infinitum. I am indeed connected to the hotspot, with a good, stable connection, but no internet (nothing, ping 8.8.8.8 does not respond...)
This issue persists with two different Macs (Mavericks or Snow Leopard), using Safari or Chrome, across multiple hotspots, including mine, at any time of day. However, generally after half an hour of attempts (reconnecting to the hotspot, restarting Safari, renewing the DHCP lease...), I finally manage to connect and the connection is stable. Until the next day and the next attempt!
Any ideas? Help!

When too many people are connected to the hotspot or the owner of the box is using resources heavily, you find it difficult to connect. The bandwidth of the box is allocated based on the usage of its owner; if they are watching a 4K movie, you will have very little bandwidth (up or down, it doesn't matter) because they will be using more data, and therefore you will encounter this connection problem.

I have the same issue with a PC running Windows NT and Chrome,
including that it eventually works after a few dozen attempts.
No solutions for the moment.

Hello, you're lucky, some days it's impossible to browse the internet even though you're connected, waiting 2 minutes or more doesn't change anything! Freewifi keeps reloading the login page endlessly, on other days it takes 15 tries to load the Google page, and the connection speed is slow.
I'm fed up, it doesn’t make me want to pay for SFR Wifi FON, paying for a service that doesn’t work! With Freewifi, we can't even watch streaming! The speed is too low! It takes ages to open and send an email.
I don't have a box for now (disappointed with SFR ADSL and fiber) and Freewifi is not making me want to buy a Free box! I'm planning to try again for a box in December (cash flow problem). -
