the printer is considered to be ready according to the program status, but when I try to print, I am told that there is no printer.

Hi, could you tell us the model and brand of your printer? And the program you use to print and check that your printer is considered ready?
Moreover, you should normally be able to manage your printers in: Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Devices and Printers. Check if your printer is there and if it is properly connected by clicking on it and looking at the bottom.
