Uninstalling Cold Turkey software.

Sarah-Miia -
 harim -
Good evening,

Currently in the middle of studying for my finals, I decided to download a software tonight that would allow me to block all entertainment links (Facebook, Twitter...)
I set it to block these links until 9 PM tonight.

9 PM arrives, I want to go on Facebook and I see that the link is still blocked. I uninstall the Cold Turkey software and nothing changes, everything is still blocked.

I'm so upset, for once that I wanted to motivate myself to work, I find myself with nothing.

Please help me!

Thank you in advance.
Sarah

    I found this

Follow each step one by one and read carefully (especially step 3)

One. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
    2. Go to the Processes tab
    3. Click on "Show processes from all users" near the bottom of the window
    4. End a process called "kctrp_srv.exe" and exit Task Manager
    4. b) IF YOU CANNOT FIND kctrp_srv.exe, continue
    5. Close Task Manager
    6. Go to the installation location of Cold Turkey (default: C: \ Program Files \ ColdTurkey)
    7. Open ct_settings.ini with Notepad (you may need to right-click on it and go to "Open with ...")
    8. Find the line: "done = no" and replace it with "done = yes". Then save.
    9. Wait for Cold Turkey to tell you that your time is up, then click on "Leave me alone"
    10. Close Notepad if you haven't already
    11. Go to this address on your hard drive: C: \ Windows \ system32 \ drivers \ etc
    12. Delete the file named "hosts" (without file extension)
    13. Uninstall Cold Turkey by going to Start > All Programs > ColdTurkey > Uninstall ColdTurkey
    14. Close and reopen your browsers and retry the blocked sites.

Hello, the problem is that when I wanted to uninstall an application

(Cold Turkey Blocker) I was told that this software was linked to other applications, so if I uninstall this application, the others will also disappear

      What should I do???

    Thank you for the help.

The problem is that I can't find the software either in the list or in the list of hidden software.

Have you tried restoring the system to a point before the program was installed just to make sure you are doing updates again.....

    Yes, I did it :(

When I restarted my computer, it even said cleaning, and yet nothing works.
