Hello, when I try to do my editing, I have a video I want to import. When I do it, a loading bar appears at the bottom with "uniformization..." written on it. Then it shows me a red cross, and when I click on it, it says "unknown error during uniformization," and I can't add my video to my timeline because it crashes my software.
Can you help me please? It's urgent.
Thank you.

Well, we will manage with it. You need to open your software, go to import file, there should be thumbnails, select all (ctrl + A) or if there is only one thumbnail, right-click on it and display the scenes, then drag them onto the timeline with the mouse.
That's it for me. Now, if that doesn't change anything, you'll need to calmly describe to me click by click your actions so I can get an idea.

Actually, all my files work except for 2 or 3 that don't want to, that's what's strange.

Hello, you're helping me, I don't know, but surely showing compassion.
First of all, to handle the new HD video formats, you need a powerful computer, so what's the origin of your file to import and the configuration of your PC?

The videos are made using a GoPro Hero3+ in 1080p at 60 FPS. My PC is an Asus X75VD with an Intel Core i5 3210M 2.5GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce 610M with 1GB of VRAM, as well as 8GB of RAM.

Hello, well you'll have to manage with it. Please note that it's agreed in the "profession" to rely on a quad-core 3GHz, large 7200 RPM hard drive with a dedicated partition for video. As for memory, it's fine.
I'm assuming you've purchased your software or that it's on trial, so the first thing to do is read my overview and follow my instructions if you wish.
      System Restoration
Before messing up your computer at the slightest incident, such as uninstalling a software "properly," it's a delicate operation. Keep in mind, in case of a persistent bug, to perform a "system restore to a previous date" relative to the bug. This is the term in Windows that you type in the search window at the bottom left of the homepage "search for programs and files" and follow the instructions.
Or go to "Control Panel," then System and Security, Maintenance Center, "restore the system to a previous date," "open system restore," yes, next.
It’s completely risk-free and often beneficial.

I find it strange that I have to do a system restore when the computer is only 6 months old. After three months, the computer stopped charging. They changed the motherboard only to find out it was the charger. In short, the computer was restored three months ago. My processor has a turbo boost at 3 GHz. My videos are on a Seagate Expansion external hard drive that I bought two days ago. I don't know how fast it runs.
Before, I was doing the editing with my friend's videos, and he has a GoPro Hero 3 that filmed in 1080 at 30 fps, and I had no issues. I didn't have my external hard drive then.

Don't confuse the repair you made with what I'm proposing; it's a routine operation; it's just Windows that's upset, that's all. Go ahead and perform your operation without fear.

Ok, I am currently restoring it, but I find it slow; it has been 20 minutes since I started it.

But I had already mentioned it above.
