Hello,
I just purchased the Asus laptop (or tablet), the Transformer Book T100.
Here’s my problem: more than 15 minutes after I locked my tablet (by closing the dock lid or pressing the power/sleep button), I can't wake it up. No matter how quickly or long I press the power/sleep button, it doesn't turn on. Then, after a while, it finally decides to unlock. I don’t understand why it has such a hard time turning on. This has happened multiple times.
Is it because I’m not unlocking it the right way, or does my tablet have a defect?
Thank you for your responses.

Hello, I have the same problem and I would like to know how long it took for the tablet to turn back on?

hi
my biggest problem was the startup. it showed asus... and then nothing.
in the settings, there is a box to uncheck. enable fast startup.
control panel
hardware and sound
power options
system settings
you uncheck the fast startup box
since I did that a week ago, no more crashes.
I'm getting a great tablet back.
on the other hand, I've never had any problems with the keyboard
make sure to update asus, it's very important.
if your tablet is acting up too much, don't hesitate to reset it. be careful, you would lose everything.

also, on the contrary, I don't wish that for you...

Hello
I have a problem with the same computer as yours. I was watching a movie I had downloaded, and then suddenly, it turned off. I've tried to turn it back on by holding the button for a long time, but nothing happens!
The next day, I managed to turn it back on, but it was lagging and then it turned off again.
Do you have a solution knowing that I don't know anything about computers?
Thanks in advance!

Often, the AXUS goes into sleep mode when you close the lid too quickly.
If (re)starting is impossible, you should:
1) press the power button for at least 10 seconds (you'll notice a slight dimming on the screen even if it’s off)
2) press the power button again to restart the PC (wait for a small white light to flash on the screen)
...and then the PC/tablet should restart ...
If that doesn't work, you can use the tablet as a paperweight; that's not bad either ;-))

To avoid startup issues with the ASUS T100HA, you need to uncheck the 'Fast Startup' mode, which is recommended by default.
To do this, follow these instructions:
Start, Settings, System, Power & sleep, Additional power settings (scroll down on the right if needed), Choose what closing the lid does, change the currently unavailable settings and uncheck: Turn on fast startup (recommended).
There you go, this solved the problem for me.

Hi
for now, to work around the problem, I'm putting it on standby exclusively and I think I'll restart it from time to time. I thought I would find the extended sleep mode, but unfortunately it doesn't exist... strange, strange...
it's probably a Windows bug as usual..
I continue to do the ASUS updates. The latest one is for the BIOS
I hope it will improve gradually with the updates. If you find another solution, please don't hesitate to note it down
thank you

For the mouse, I’m using the one on the keyboard, not an external device. The problem was fixed all of a sudden, but I hope it doesn’t come back...
I’ll try your solution then, thanks anyway for sharing it. I’ll post a message in a week to update on the progress (if there is any).
I have another issue too, when I close the tablet on the keyboard, like a computer, the tablet unlocks by itself and activates the camera for no reason... However, it’s not possible to unlock it when it’s closed, so I don’t quite understand. Especially since it drains the battery very quickly...
Anyway, if the problems aren’t resolved with your solution, I’ll take it back to Darty. Thanks for the link too!

Hello, I have the same issue. When I wake up my tablet after having left it on standby for a while, I notice that it is already on or out of battery because it has turned itself back on. It comes out of standby by itself and clicks on the screen by itself (it's not the pad, I had disabled it on purpose). This prevents it from going back to sleep after a period of inactivity and it drains all the battery.... Do you have a solution to this problem?
Hello, I just got an Asus T100 tablet, but when I plug it into the power supply for the first time, it makes a clicking sound at regular intervals. Could someone tell me what that is?
Hello, just for info, I have exactly the same issue
I have done all the driver updates
Maybe I shouldn’t have done them.

Hello, I have a problem with the same computer as yours. When I turn it on and log in with my Microsoft account, half the time it shows "please wait" and then I end up on the initial setup of the computer for Windows, meaning I see "hello", "we are preparing your system", "you can download apps from the Windows store". Then I wait with this image, and as soon as it says "we are preparing certain points" and then "getting started", I end up on a black screen where I can only move the mouse and right-click, and it shows: "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop", then some text saying that Windows could not connect. What should I do?
Hello, I have a problem with my ASUS T100T tablet. When I turn it on, it shows a blue screen with "BIOS information, BIOS vendor... Aptio Setup Utility..." Anyway, I called ASUS and they told me to do two things (F9 then F10), but it didn’t change anything; I keep returning to the same page. They told me they couldn't do anything because the warranty had expired, or I could send it for repair at my own expense. A friend of a friend looked at the problem and said that the computer doesn't recognize the hard drive and therefore can't start. Apparently, I need to flash the BIOS and download onto a micro SD... it's all Greek to me, I don’t understand anything. Can someone enlighten me? Any idea of the cost this might incur? Can I make complaints to ASUS about this problem because when I call them, their battle cry is, I quote, "you are out of warranty!!!" There's a law on compliance warranty; does anyone know? Thank you for your reply, have a nice evening!
To start with, the system on this tablet is not installed on a hard drive but on flash memory, which is impossible to repair. If there is indeed a hard drive on some models, it is located in the keyboard and only serves as storage. I would say instead that you have a problem with Windows and that you need to reinstall it. The setup utility should allow you to do this, a factory reset. Let us know what options are presented to you and I will guide you on how to proceed. Be careful, you will lose all your personal information. If you also created a recovery drive when you purchased the tablet on a USB stick, this should also allow you to restart Windows.
