Hello, the bass part of my speakers is no longer working; do you know if it is possible to repair them or are they dead?
Thank you for your help.

Hello.

You will need to open the back to see if you have a filter in your speaker; it may be blown. However, this kind of failure is very rare. If you still hear the mid-range and treble, disconnect the woofer and check the impedance of this woofer with a multimeter. The value should be between 3.2 and 7.8 ohms. If there is no reading, you can say "it's dead" and the same goes for the other one.
On the other hand, if you get these values and you hear no sound from the speaker, the problem will undoubtedly be with the amplifier. It could either be a minor issue: the protection fuses for the speakers may have blown, or it could be the speaker on/off relay, or it could be more serious at the power stage.
But first, check the wiring between the amp and the speakers.

These are just suggestions... See you later.
