Hello,

I ordered Crucial SO-DIMM memory modules 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1333 MHz CL9 (CT2KIT51264BF1339J)
I want to put them in an Intel i5 Haswell NUC barebone.

I think I made a small mistake, I saw after ordering that Intel Haswell NUCs only support DDR3L memory modules and I ordered DDR3....

From my research, the difference between DDR3L and DDR3 is that DDR3L modules operate at 1.35V.
However, in the technical specifications of the modules I ordered, it is clearly stated that it is DDR3 and that it operates at 1.35V.....

So I'm wondering if it will work anyway??

Basically, my question is whether DDR3 at 1.35V will work on a board that takes DDR3L?

Thanks in advance
Jiness

Configuration: Windows 8 / Chrome 31.0.1650.63

If I go by this site, I see that the minimum required voltage is 1.35 volts.
Whereas you have a computer that accepts standard voltages, which means 1.35 volts.

So yes, the memory sticks will work perfectly :)

    Hello,

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I would like to know if the placement of DDR3 instead of DDR3L has been confirmed.

    Thank you

      Hello,
      • DDR4 = 1.2V
      • DDR3L = 1.35V
      • DDR3 = 1.5 / 1.65V

You can replace DDR3L with DDR3, but the voltage is higher, so you will stress the memory controller of the processor in the long run (this applies only to Intel Core on socket 1151).
