Skype: call from an unknown contact

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding Skype, particularly due to a mysterious call from someone I don't know (missed call under the username "hottie_carrie4472 (sexiii kisses)") who is asking me to add them to my contacts (which I haven't done):

Is it possible to receive a call from someone who is not in my contacts list? I have normally requested that my username be visible only to the contacts I have chosen. Skype has made several updates recently, could it be that it allows people not in your contact list to see your username and contact you?

edit: in the "Privacy" options, I had checked:
accept calls from people on my contact list
automatically receive video and screen sharing from people on my contact list
accept messages from people on my contact list

I had unchecked:
allow my status to be visible on the internet

And in the "call settings" section, I had checked:
"only allow people on my contact list to call me"

    Good evening, there was a request to block an authorization that we can either submit or block another person... or exclude
    go to options...privacy....blocked user.. there is a box to block and

    save at the bottom (for any modifications)

    Hello,

    Thank you for the reply. I added this contact to the list of people to block.

    I still wonder however how I could have been contacted by this username despite the settings on my profile (I thought I would only receive calls and messages from contacts on my list).
