Hi everyone!! ^^' I'm twelve years old, I'm in 8th grade (I skipped a class) and I really want to convince my parents to get me a phone! I know what you're going to say: "At 12, it's not useful! In my day..." but it is useful and we're no longer in the 20th century! Phones are practical means of communication! Anyway, I’d like to find arguments without overwhelming them, but I'm struggling to do so!
Please help me!

Yes, thanks :), but the problem is that I don't take public transportation... I really want to have a phone to mainly send texts to my friends... And then the argument "all my friends have one" just doesn't work...

I'm exactly the same, my mother tells me "you don't need it" or "you're too young, you're 14, do you really think so?" "When you're 18, you'll have one" or "worse, who's paying?" "Me" "Me" or "for what?" She herself tells me I'm a superb child, I work at school, I obey her, and I never look for trouble, what more can I ask for? My brothers and sisters, on the other hand, 1) pay for their own phones, 2) are around the same age as me, except for 2 who are 13, and 3) I don't understand because when my siblings asked my mother, "Mom, can I have a phone, please?" you know what she said? "Of course, in this family everyone has one, you're all grown up and you learn at school, you obey me, so yes, let's go if you want." And when I said, "Mom, can I have a phone, please?" she replied, "Why?" and "No, you have your tablet and your sister's computer at your disposal, so no." It's not fair! Tell me what you think, thank you very much.
