Epson XP-405 Printer Unable to Scan to PC

I just bought an Epson XP-405 printer. The installation went smoothly. I can print any document, but I have a problem when I want to digitize a document to my PC. When I run the command "Scan to PC (WSD)" I get a message saying "no computer found." Yet I can print from the computer to the printer in the opposite direction. Could an experienced user tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

The "configuration" function is certainly "Epson Scan Settings".
Well, I’ve read a few things about this printer and apparently you’re not the only one having this problem.
go have a look here for example:

I don’t know (I skimmed) if the issue has been resolved...

Thank you for replying so quickly to my message.
I have exactly the same problem if I want to scan only to my PC
If I understood correctly from the link you sent me, I would need to enter the IP address of my computer in "Epson Scan Settings" but I can't find
    where this program is located.
Could you tell me about this
    See you soon

I admit that I am lost.
In the printer settings when I connect to the network,
I get a message saying "network connection successful"
    So what is wrong ????
In the verification of the network settings, still on the printer, I have an IP address that ends with 46
and the IP identification by CMD gives for the last two digits 86.
    Why?
    What do you think?

You will not provide any vital information in response to these questions (these are internal IP addresses to your network):
the IP address that ends with 46, isn’t that the printer’s one?

If your computer’s IP is 192.168.1.86 for example, you need to put this IP in "Epson Scan Settings". is that what you do?

I don’t quite understand the terminology “IP addresses internal to your network.” I think these are personal IPs. Does that answer your question? On my computer, the IP ends with 86. On the printer, the IP ends with 46. However, I don’t know where the application "Epson Scan Settings" is located. The printer’s “Configuration” function provides indications on the different parameters but does not allow them to be modified.

yeah, I think that's the best thing you can do.
it's surely not the first time they'll be called for this issue.
    Good luck :o)

You can know your IP in several ways. The simplest:
    Start
you type "cmd" to open a command window
in the window, you type ipconfig /all followed by Enter
and you get your machine's IP: 192.168 followed by 2 groups of 3 digits.
