Hello,
I posted my question yesterday, but I can't find it in my profile; so I'm asking it again!
I want to download music onto a USB drive so I can listen to it in the car.
Unfortunately, every time I save a track from my iTunes library to this drive, the songs are numbered... So, they can't be played by my car's radio...
Can anyone tell me how to remove this numbering?
Thanks in advance!

Good evening,
Normally, having a number in front of the title should not prevent the USB key from being read by the car radio.
I suspect another cause. The format of the USB key. Usually, in order for the car radio to recognize a USB key, it must be formatted in MS DOS (FAT 32), or possibly in NTFS. But never in Mac OS extended.
You should check with Disk Utility the format of this key, and possibly reformat it, if possible using the MBR scheme.
You should also check the manual, not only for the accepted formats of USB keys but also for the formats of the audio files themselves.
Because there could also be an issue if, for example, the car radio accepts music tracks in .mp3 but not .aac (that's just an example).
I had written a procedure for this formatting, if needed:

Good luck...
EDIT: In the meantime, I have written a complete procedure for creating a music USB key here:

Have a good day, or good night..:).

Thank you very much, Francis!
How come you are so "sharp" in all areas, both PC and MAC, I feel like...
Have an excellent weekend and stay warm.
